[Z06] Should I keep using the same motor oil?

Should I keep using the same motor oil?
Picked up an 07 z06 with 51k miles. Car had work done as in heads, cammed, full exhaust etc. dyno'd at 586hp at the wheels and 519 torque. ( Probably irrelevant but I've never had a car this cool 😎 This is my first non stock car and I came out of a Porsche 911 C4s. The gentleman I bought the car from was using Driven Racing LS30 high zinc oil. I am due for an oil change and I am trying to figure out if I need to stay with the same oil or can I use any other brands? Any input is appreciated.

oh boy! you are going to get LOTS of opinions. oil threads never go well. if you want to actually research, go the site where oil is discussed very technically. my opinion is go with what ever is easy to get and change often. i am currently running mobil 1. my car only goes out a couple thousand miles a year and i change it every spring.

I'm a bit loathe to chime in on yet 'another oil thread', but the high level of zinc in that Driven oil is your LS7's very good friend! My local LS race shop loves it. If you have cats however, it 'may' have a bit too much zinc and contaminate them...purportedly. (real race oils have over 2000ppm)
Having said that, a medium high-zinc 'multigrade' like Amsoil 10w-40 Z-Rod, or their 10w-40 Premium, may be kinder to the engine on cold starts, and get up to the heads a bit faster yet. These both have about 1200~1300ppm zinc and are still fine with cats.
Others, do like the very economical 0w-40 Mobil1 FS (Euro Blend) which has 1000ppm (WalMart). I do use this in all my other vehicles (incl Porsche, BMW, MR2, VW), and it would surely also be fine in the LS7.
But, I personally use Redline 5w-50, but only because I also track the car and oil temps get quite high, for a long time, so I want something that doesn't thin out, yet is still thin enough to flow well on cold starts. Also, I get a pretty good deal from a friend ;-)
Good luck...I'm sure you'll get many opinions
