Default manual transmission in 2006 Z06

Looking for a reputable transmission shop in Denver CO to go through my 6 speed transmission, clean it up, tighten it up and let me know what else it needs. Some stiffness/hesitation to go into 2nd and reverse. 21,000 miles. Any suggestions or experience. Thanks for any help.

I would try the Amsoil Torque Drive in your trans before you think about tearing it apart.

Absolutely try that first. Also, sometimes a worn/defective clutch can make it difficult to get cars into gear.

And lastly and probably most important: cars are designed to be driven, not to sit around. Try driving the car more often, like daily, for a few weeks and see if it doesn't work better.

Replace the shifter is another option. Often tearing into something that doesn't need to be torn into can cause more problems.

If these solutions don't work out, speak with "Corvette Connection & Performance - 5380 Washington St., Denver, 303-298-8388". They dyno'ed my C5 and did an alignment on my C6 Z06. Very busy Corvette only shop.

I swapped my fluid with Amsoil, definitely shifts nicer.
