Default Front Bumper CF Lip

Looking into aftermarket front lips and seeing many available. Wondering who has purchased one and what was the fitment like? I am concerned with fitment. Although I can make anything fit, I am looking for the best starting point. Any experiences to share? Thank you!

I got nine a few years ago from C7carbon. The fit is very good. Had to drill a few extra holes. That was no big deal. While I had the bumper cover off I added the front bumper brace. Every one says you don’t need the bumper reinforcement if you don’t exceed 120 mph. I’ve hit 150 mph a few times and glad I had the extra reinforcement. The splitter seems to help keep the front end planted.

I have had no problems with rock chips so far. I did hit a piece of exploded tire out on the highway that took a small chip out of the splitter, I just filled the spot in with Gorilla glue and it has been fine. I am sure some day it is going to get blasted by some other highway trash at which time I will just replace it.

I've had C7Carbon and now a APR. APR is hands down a better piece.

Thank you for the information. Keep the opinions coming please. I have a virgin/perfect lip and want to actually drive the car (3,516 miles/2010) but don't want to risk damage to the original piece. I have the ability to paint the aftermarket piece and have it appear to be an original. It will make driving the car considerably less stressful. Every driveway, every off camber turn, speed bumps and a host of other things make driving a "chore" more than a pleasure. An aftermarket piece solves my "problem". I would like to start with a quality piece so the feedback is greatly appreciated.

Whether your original piece or aftermarket, get it covered with ppf. I've had a splitter from C7 Carbon (gloss black) & it's identical to oem.

Hmm even with the expensive front lip I don't stress over driveways. Just make sure to be at an angle going up. Road debris is what stresses me out gotta make a quick decision to straddle or dodge. I broke a cheap splitter this winter on a small box that I would not have thought would cause damage.

Road debris is another stress factor. That includes the fat rodents that I see often enough to be a concern. My DD has sufficient ground clearance for most but no way does the ZR1 leave any confidence. Quick thinking is not a problem but the "surroundings" limit you to what you can take for evasive maneuvers. For now it seems that I will buy a C7Carbon and an APR and go from there. I'll post a pic once I get at least one of them painted.

Bought this off Amazon and it fit great, its carbon dipped, basically ABS plastic that looks exactly like CF. They sell a CF version but thought more than likely I will shatter this one too LOL. Within 3 minutes of handing over the check to the seller and trying to load the car on the trailer the front lip caught the trailer and exploded. I about had a heart attack. I got away relatively cheap compared to an oem CF splitter. I also thought that if it was true CF I probably would have damage the front bumper because CF would not have easily broken. So I recommend going with the cheap stuff that’s 1/2 the cost that I expect to replace again. The lip on these Z’s are extremely low
