Sold my 2011 Z06/Z07!
Ugh.
Mixed feelings as I watched my beloved Z06 drive off yesterday. Sold in literally 2 days through AutoTrader. Decided I could not justify 2 Z06s in he garage as my C8 Z06 is arriving next week. Drove the C8 Z06 at the MCM track in Bowling Green back in April. With the new heads and cam in the 2011 that car has more torque that the C8 but I decided to sell.
Anyone else regret selling their C6 Z06 for a newer car?

Had my first Z06 (a 2009) from 2014 to 2016. I absolutely loved it, but traded it for another car that had been on my wish list after I had to get the original LS7 replaced. Regretted it ever since. Got a 2013 Grand Sport in 2019, but just wasn’t the same. Finally just ended my search for another Z06 when I picked up a 2012 CE a couple weeks ago. They are special cars, but it looks like you are replacing it with something else special.

I owned my first c6 z06 back in 2009. Owned for about a year until trading it for something different.
After missing it for a long time I decided buying my second one - a 2011 carbon edition back in 2021. I owned that car for a year, but sold because I was offered way over what I paid and I also had the itch for something different.
I ended up buying a 2008 Porsche 997.1 turbo instead. I owned that for a little over a year. Wonderful car, but I still found myself missing that big glorious v8. So last week I found and picked up my 3rd z06. A 2008 with low miles that I couldn’t pass up.
Now the 911 goes up for sale. Hopefully this time I smarten up and keep my z06.
I’ve owned a lot of different vehicles in the last 15 years and nothing ever compares to these cars. Big V8s with manual transmission are becoming a thing of the past. Get one while you still can

I have owned mine since 2018,
Definitely thought about selling it for a brief moment. Happy to still have it in the garage though.
I’ve poured blood, sweat and beers into that car not to mention got to finally wrench on a car w my father. So yeah It’s not going anywhere anytime ever.
This is my second C6 first was a 08 Z51 I bought in 2012. And since I sold that one, I have always wanted another.

As the debate is constantly raging.. FI, c6 GS, c8 z06, 911 TT... thinking this just yesterday about my 09 Z:
THE 2 most important things:
1 -> Baddest a** race car on the track! (yes faster than the new stuff and the 911's when track prepped)
2 -> STICK
(would be bummed if an auto was faster on the track.. luckily it not)

I know the question was asking if anyone regrets selling their C6 Z06, but I had to share my thoughts on the subject. I've owned 2 C4's, one of which had the Grand Sport LT4 in it, a C5 that I supercharged and poured entirely too much money into and lastly now I won a C6 Z06. This C6 is everything I've always wanted in a Corvette, its beautiful, handles like it's on rails, has more power than even the massive 325/30R19's can handle and best of all it has a manual 6 speed that allows me to actually enjoy rowing the gears while cruising through the countryside. Although the C7 Z06 is an awesome machine, I just love to feel the pull and hear the sound of our LS7 in full song at 7k. No, I can't fathom the thought of letting this one go, especially when the newest that Bowling Green has to offer at this time only comes with an auto trans.

I've had 3 widebody C6s, and still own a 2010 C6 ZR1 I purchased new. Hard to believe that car is now 14 model years old. Just sold a C7 Z06 to make room in the garage for the C8 Z06 I've had now for a couple months. When time came for one of them go, the C6 ZR stayed and the C7 Z left.
Don't think I'll ever get rid of the C6 ZR1. In fact, instead of letting it go, I'm having M2K and Borowski give the engine a refresh and some upgrades. The widebody C6s are my favorite Vettes. I've got about 2k miles on the new C8 Z06, and it is without a doubt an interesting, entertaining car. Don't yet know if it will topple my C6 for my favorite of all time. Time will tell. But it's got a tough assignment to do so. That is because my ZR is like that perfectly fitting pair of jeans you've had for years that are still like new. It just fits. The styling is timeless. Great shifting manual transmission. And, I actually like the instrumentation better than the newer vettes. Plus it's smaller and lighter than the new ones - something you immediately notice when driving the new Z06. Those cars have gotten big. And heavy. Still fun, just not my favorite pair of jeans.
To me, the book of vettes will always have the page for the C6 Z and ZR earmarked as some of the best ever.
