What do you mean run?

Roll race?

Last year I had a HCI F-body Camaro, somewhere around 470 whp give or take. From a 40 roll I whooped on a C8 so badly that I thought he didn't hit the gas, I talked to his passenger later and found out that he was pedal to the floor.

Later that year I got my C6Z which had a Vararam + tune, and it was faster than my Camaro, so a C6Z shouldn't have too much problem whooping on a C8.

I've driven both. From a dig on a non prepped surface, the c8 will get to 60 first every time. After that even a stock z06 will walk away from it. They are heavy cars so power to weight favors the c6

The C8 isn’t that fast. It’s quick from a stop but that’s about it. I’m enjoying mine but my previous C7Z and Saleen Mustangs were both much faster. The C8 is much more a GT car than a race car.

Funny you ask, I had one pull up beside me on the interstate, wife gave me permission, I pulled rather easily on him, but to be fair, I'm around 600 at the wheel. I wouldn't have done it from a stop, can't compete with all wheel drive, but then again, c8 can't compete with an electric car these days. So I don't give them that satisfaction of trying. There was a beautiful c8 Z06 that passed me on Sunday. Traffic was too heavy, but darn it looked low n wide like ours. It sounded really good and had tow hooks, I don't think they were for looks lol.

Not surprised if the C6 from a roll of 70 mph would take a C8 non Z. The base and Z51 are both going to be in 3rd gear, with the C6 in 2nd. We C6 guys still have the rest of 2nd. 3rd and 4th. before we are at less than 1.00 in the gear box. The C8 is already in OD I think from 6th.on. You can't beat the 60/40 weight distribution off the line, but I think GM designed this car to be really quick to 60 to give the impression that it was fast. I know I have had my car to just past 160 mph, and at that point a lot of people are getting a bit scared. GM figures most C8 buyers see the sub 3 second 0-60 times and they know those owners are not going past 100 mph, EVER. IMO.
