Default 2007 Ron Fellows Edition Vin

This is probably a very basic and easy question, but I thought i would ask. I purchased my 2007 Z06 last July and I love it. I do have a question though, The VIN # is 1G1YY26E475118004. The auto check I have says 2007 Chevrolet Corvette Ron Fellows Edition Z06, however the vehicle is Black and I'm pretty sure its hasn't been painted. My question is: Do all Z06 VIN #'s say Ron Fellows Edition when you run the VIN? It just seems odd to me.

If the car has not been painted and it's black then it's not really a Fellows Edition.

Is "auto check" like Carfax?

You could also take the car to a Dealer and have them check the VIN.

Yes, "Auto Check" is just like CARFAX.

Ron Fellows cars don't have VIN specific numbers. They are included with all the others. Not sure why a black car would come up as a Ron Fellows car. If you have access to the car you can look in the glove box compartment for the paint code which would tell you what color it left the factory with. Also the Ron Fellows cars are numbered and signed under the center console lid. There is a list of car numbers here on the forum somewhere. Found it in case you are interested.

The glove box will have the rpo# it should be 1YY87 and the color code should be 10. (If its a Ron Fellows ) not sounding like it. It just wouldn't make sense to take a Ron Fellows car, paint it and swap the rare interior.
