[Z06] OEM black wheels for Z06

OEM black wheels for Z06
Hi, I have a 2007 C6 Z06 with the stock wheels (Speedline, 19 rear/18 front) and I'm looking to replace them with black wheels 20 rear/19 front. What OEM black wheels were/are available for a 2007 Z06? I need to find them online and ship them to Switzerland, so I cannot see anything in person, unfortunately. I'm only looking for OEM wheels.
I'm aware of the cup wheels which seem to be sold here https://www.corvettegarage.com/c6-co...orvette-wheel/. Are these OEM?
I'm also aware of the black wheels on the Carbon Edition. But beyond these 2 options for the Z06, I didn't come across anything else.
Thanks,
Mihut

Yes those are OEM speedline cups, I know a few places like WCC offer a black powdercoated option exchange. They send you OEM z06 wheels that are freshly PCd black and you send back your OEM wheels.
Im only aware of the black cups and centennial cups for the widebodies as a black option from the factory. They made comp grey zr1s, spyders, and split spoke z06 style as a factory option.

The black cup wheels were only on the perf package zr1s in 12 and 13 IIRC. The centennial wheels have the red outer pin stripe on the 12 zr1s.
I dont think c6 ever had a true factory option z06 black wheel.

No adjustments needed just an inch bigger front and back. Gm recommends 285/30 and 335/25 tire setup but no reason you couldnt run a 275/325. Only downfall to the 19/20 setup is much more limited tire choices.

If I want to stick with Michelin and non run-flats, my only choice for the rear is the Pilot Sport Cup 2R, which I guess has to go in front as well. Thanks for pointing that out, indeed the choice of tires shrinks dramatically.

I run the sport cups in the standard 335/285 size in run flat.
I believe you can get Contis and the rest is mostly Michelin... PSS, Ps4s, Sport cup and the cup 2rs.
I have the Conti Extremes on my Spyder wheels and they arent bad, but not nearly as good as the Cups when you can get enough heat in them...

You're going to have a very difficult time finding any original C6 cup wheels. Most of what you see are C7 cup wheels & they are well known to have issues cracking and bending. C7 cups were made in Mexico and should be avoided.
The only other OEM option are the black ZR1 wheels that were found on the Carbon Editions.

Obviously there are issues with some of the c7 mexico cups, but i know several folks with them on c6s as well as all of the folks I know with c7 GS's that have not had an issue...You are obviously not going to hear about the 20k plus sets that are out there without issue (too lazy to look up c7 GS production).
Good catch on the carbons zr1 wheels, for some reason I was thinking they were comp grey.

Michelin and Continental both have tires that fit the OEM 19 and 20" rims.

Thanks for the clarification on the issues of C7 cup wheels.
Are these C6 or C7 cup wheels https://www.corvettegarage.com/c6-co...orvette-wheel/ ? How do I tell them apart?

Wasn't the issue the C7 being a heavier car than the C6 and the wheels designed for it not being able to tackle the load of the heavier generation?

The C7 GS was about 100lb heavier than a C6 ZR1 (these wheels were optional on ZR1), so I doubt that had anything to do with it. GM switched to manufacturing in Mexico & the wheels went to crap on both the GS & Z06.

I believe soneone said it earlier in the post, going to be tough to get a true c6 Italian made cup wheel regardless of the color. The machine face version seems to be the most common in the c6s since this was on a good portion of the 2013 427 verts.
Living in FL likely helps me and the newer Mexico cups since the roads are pretty decent here compared to northern states.
Good luck in your search

I wouldn't buy them. Do you have powdercoating shops near you? It might be easier to find a set of ZR1 wheels in silver and have them powdercoated black.
