Picking up a Z06 Friday
Long story short, we had a 2007 base Atomic Orange car and a C7 z51 7 speed car, we sold the C6 a year ago and immediately missed it then fast forward to 4 months ago my wife was hit by truck which totaled that car a Daytona Sunrise car (wife likes those Orange cars) so I decided a Atomic Orange Z06 would be the sweet spot. I found this one on BaT and feel we did ok as really wanted a low mile unmolested car to enjoy. I corresponded with email during the auction and got a good sense of the pride the original owner took. Flying in Thursday and driving home 13 hours Friday, wife and I are hoping for an epic beginning with this car. Wife split daily driving her Z51 with a 6 speed Hellcat so this will be its stablemate now.

Copper! Beautiful car. I have a 2007 Red and love it as my daily. Fix the heads or don't, I have 61k now on my 2007, completely stock except for the R888R's and a set of DRM's and some front end illumination options.

Congrats on the purchase, and good to hear that your wife (presumably) is alright from the accident.
Its also kick *** to know that Keith Richards is a CF member.

Got home last night, well actually today I guess at 12:23 am, 898 miles yesterday wife would only let me drive 400 of it. Lol. Car is absolutely flawless and the original owner was phenomenal to deal with. Love this car! Just spent 2 hours cleaning and like new again, now off to get oil so I can change it.

Looks like a nice car. How much did you pay for it?

Found it on BaT so with there winning bid fee of 5% we are at $48.3k I was willing to go just a bit more but IMO was lucky as we found the exact spec’ed car we wanted with 10k miles, stock condition and original owner who never beat it. He did add a mild to wild switch and tinted windows which we would have done regardless. Car sits in our garage along with our 2019 GS and prior to this one wife had a 2015 7 speed Z51 that was destroyed 4 months ago on her way to work when someone ran a red light.
