Most desirable year ZR1?
Like the title says. What’s the most desirable year model of the C6 ZR1? Maybe broken down by color, numbers made, options, upgrades in later years, etc? Do any years run better than other years?

I'd say 2012-13 with the PDE package, then 2012+, followed by 2010+, and last any ZR1.
2012+ with PDE gets all the updates (seats, stereo, steering wheel) and the shorter gearing (and Cup wheel).
2012+ gets the updates
2010+ gets PTM (and '10 & '11 have the shorter gearing that was only available 2012+ with PDE)
Having had mine for a few years now, I really wish I had the shorter 5th & 6th gear. Many may prefer the longer 5th & 6th though as it's better for cruising. The biggest one for me was getting a 2010+ to get the PTM. Things like seats (and even gearing) can be upgraded if you want, PTM is not something you can add to a 2009. Of course, I know many ZR1 owners that have never even used PTM, so it's really in what you want. I'd honestly say the best year ZR1 is the one you own.

I know this is going to sound silly about a performance car, but it kind of pisses me off, that my '09 does not have Bluetooth in the stereo...hell it doesn't even have an aux. cord capability, and from what I have gathered, it is not really an easy fix....for $119k I would think that was doable.....heck some of the lesser models have it.
do I still love it........yes.

If I had it to do over again, I would have gotten a 2011. I know it's minor, but I was stressing all the time when I had my 2010 3ZR about the personal audio link or an aftermarket head unit because there was no factory USB connection in 2010 (nor in 2008 when I had my Z06). I sold the ZR1 at the beginning of last year and now I have a 2011 Grand Sport. I LOVE the fact that I can just plug the phone into the factory head unit and listen to XM Radio or my entire Plex music library without having to buy a whole new radio even though I already have the Crutchfield kit sitting here for a future upgrade.
I lost ~300 horses, but I gained 1000+ music tracks. LOL!

Replacing the head unit is super easy and one of the best upgrades you can do to any C6. I would absolutely not let aux port or Bluetooth steer me to a certain year. Plus you can add a backup cam while doing it, and it will improve the sound quality just by upgrading the head unit, and you can get wireless Carplay/AndroidAuto. Before CP/AA it might have been worth preferring a 2011, but now every C6 is better off upgrading the head unit.

I turned that one car into two vehicles. I needed a truck at the time more than I needed the Vette.
