CPR Takes the ZR1 boost only half mile record!
This past weekend was another no fly zone in Gila Bend, AZ. Our customer Justin has a ZR1 we did the original heads/cam setup years ago and now has upgraded to our max effort package. In not ideal conditions at all, 3111 DA and 84 degree temps we were able to click off a 190.19 pass!! The previous record was a 185.8 which many have argued in the ZR1 circles was a car that had nitrous on it as the previous day was in the 170's and then picked up 10mph the next day, plus it has nitrous on it. Neither here nor there this is the undisputed record holder!
To note the car has the stock bottom end (the one that came in the car), the OEM 2300 supercharger (ported), no nitrous.
The combo has the following:
CPR spec cam (this is not a large grind at all)
CPR spec heads (oem) ported by WCCH
ARH race headers
Synergy CAI
Johnson lifters
Monster triple clutch
Alky meth kit
Fore fuel system
ID1300x injectors
2.35/14% pulley combo
C&R bricks in the OEM lid
CPR C6 trunk tank
Edelbrock HX (modified for 1'' in/out lines)
Synergy water manifolds
Synergy catch can
103 TB
OEM Trans, OEM diff
Hinson prop shaft
15'' conversion
Forgeline drag pack
Tillet front seats
RPM 4 pt bar
This car was 100% built and tuned by us. If you're interested in having us do this package to your ZR1 please feel free to email me at joe@cordesperformanceracing.com

Hmmm. OEM trans and diff and no nitrous?. listening to the video he barely went to 5th. If we do the math on the OEM setup my calculations come to give or take a bit based on redline and tire size:
1st: 64.3 mph
2nd: 91.5 mph
3rd: 121.8 mph
4th: 147.3 mph
5th: 181.9 mph
6th: 219.9 mph
Is there a second slip showing 190?

He is revving it to 7500 and on a 28'' rear tire, your numbers aren't even close to lining up even with a 26.6'' rear oem tire. There was only one attempt, the weather got insanely hot after and with it being a one day the line's were very long. He gave a few ride alongs and didn't do full pulls with a passenger, and one early on he missed a shift.

Ok so redlining at 7500 and a 28 inch tire and OEM ratio:
1- 79.8
2-113.4
3-150.9
4-182.6
5-225.5
6-272.6
Great pass, but I don't believe he picked up another 9 mph in 5th, Sorry.
Still a fast car. Congrats

He did, omega is very consistent and we had lots of other cars out there all trapping what they should. Our friends calvo viper was doing the same traps' he always has also. You're more than welcome to disbelieve it, but we have a track record of being up front and honest people that put out runners.

Yup. Keep in mind c7&7 5th gear is a .82 in these so it's a pulling gear. I had it in my C5 and it was a 198 mph 1/2 mile car. Your math for 5th gear is wrong it's 222 with a 7500 rpm redline.

Inertia... He may not have been in 5th for long, but the car was still accelerating during the shift. I have data that shows my car pick up 4mph on a pass when I let out of the throttle before I dump the laundry.

All these gear calculators don't take into account tire expansion... yes I know the internet says that radial tires don't expand but they do and I see it every day on a dyno at those types of speeds. It's certainly not like a slick that grows an inch but they do grow a few tenths and that's 2-3 mph at 190. That would mean it's picking up ~5 mph in 5th gear and at 1000 rwhp that is VERY doable in only a second or two. But please continue to tell everybody how your C6 ZR1 @ 1000 rwhp runs in a 1/2 mile, with all of your internet experience.
