Ok just got off the phone with Hagerty. Changing my deductible from 0 to 500 for both collision and comprehensive saves ne a whopping $47.00 a year . And going to $1000.00 about $100.00 a year. I told them I drive about 5k miles a year. If I lie and change to 2500 miles I save about $300.00 WTF!!! He said I may be paying more because of all the old people and meth heads here in Florida😂

This is on a 2011 GS and driving the car only 2,000 miles per year ... also no tickets or accident claims in the last 15 years.
Car used for pleasure only.
Car parked in a garage and in a gated subdivision ... [may] be of a benefit ?

Wow I may need to shop around. I’m 31, clean record (no accidents or tickets) and with $500 on both collision and comprehensive I pay $119/mo with USAA on my ZR1.

The ZR1 insurance is going to be higher than the same year / same overall condition GS ... if everything else is equal between the two cars.
1. Insurance companies will consider the ZR1 more of a performance car = Higher insurance premiums
2. The ZR1 will have a higher replacement value if totaled compared to a same year GS = Higher insurance premiums

I don't know if it is helpful but I have both USAA insurance (CT cars) and The Hartford with their AARP program (FL cars). With multiple Corvettes under The Hartford my ZR1 costs just over $500 per year for personal use with less than 2500 miles a year. When I am away from it for more than a month I put it under storage and that drops the annual rate to under $150 a year. I declined uninsured motorist coverage (only covers my medical bills and any my passenger receives from a collision caused by an uninsured motorist) which saved me about a third of what the cost would have been with it. Also I declined collision coverage since I don't put many miles on it so I decided to take that risk (despite an aggressive driving style I have had only one accident in over 50 years and that was 47 years ago).
Example - with my car stored for half the year my annual cost for the ZR1 is about $325. I found the costs for my other Corvettes were about 10 to 15 % less than the ZR1. AARP with the Hartford is worth looking into.

I'm 31, no tickets in the past 6 years. 2009 Z06 with 18k miles. Paying $340 every 6 months with Geico. Full coverage with $500 deductibles with a high property damage and medical coverages. I came to this car from a 2018 Charger Scat pack where I was paying a little more than double that with Geico...

'06 C6Z, $29/month. That's with 5000 miles/year, coverage to meet my Umbrella's requirement and $250 deductible. I was surprised how cheap this car was to insure. 42, clean record.
Somehow my wife's Audi S4 is like $44/month for the same coverage and it makes 1/2 the power and much safer to drive.

I just switched from NCM to Grundy. Insured value $85k, no mileage restrictions, $0 deductible & $1k/year premium. NCM would not insure the car for that value, $500 deductible, and the premium was a good bit more for 3,000 mi/yr restriction.
I just saw Grundy also insures your other vehicles as long as you have 3 & 1 is on a collector vehicle policy. I reviewed their coverages which are much better than my Allstate policy, so am going to get a quote and look into possibly switching.
Another thing about my NCM policy is I provided all the information on the car before purchase, VIN & window stickers to find out how much the premium would be. Confirmed the premium a couple times, purchased the vehicle & then the premium was $300 more per year than what they had confirmed. Wasn’t too happy about that.

I did not know that about Grundy, I'll take a look.
