Shouldn't take more than 2-3 hours of labor, tops.

For headers to be “worth it” you need to be over 800 rear wheel or so. Therefore labor would be negligible because the heads and blower will already be off anyway.

I have heard that before. Im just concerned about melting the cats and possibly causing engine damage with a 650 whp build. Gutting the cats or cutting them out and straight piping it is an option. I had a zo6 that was catless with a stage 3 cam and it smelled like a gas bomb. Dont want that again.

Kooks has a "green" catted X pipe that is a OEM quality cat, not cheap but you get what you pay for

with a cam, sure it’s going to smell. For a pulley/isolator/bricks/e/tune 650 build just gut the stock cats. With the stock cam, it’s not going to smell. And it’s so easy to just take a metal Rod and break the cats out. Then if you decide in the future to add headers/mid, spend the 3k to do it.

Thanks. Do you have any idea how much a shop would charge to gut the cats if im having the other work done as well? They wanted 400 to cut the cats out and straight pipe it....🤔

I’d guess two hours Labor.

I searched and it looks like you have a 2009, does it have only two cats or four?

My 2010 has one on each bank if that's what your talking about a total of two.
Not two on each bank equaling four
