Engine or supercharger rattle sound... plz help
Hii,
anyone can help i have a rattle sound in my 2010 ls9 appreciate if you can share and advice.
car is bone stock with 14,000 miles only.
basically i have a rattle or noise at idle... it seems the sound coming from the supercharger cover.

mine has been rattling for several years. No big deal

Loosen the SC belt tensioner and check the play between the pulley and shaft. If there is any, it is the SC isolator coupler and not the LS9. Mine had a 1/2” of play. My SC was replaced under warranty at 51K miles but the rattle was there long before it was replaced.

gonna do lpe snout, will let you know if solid coupler makes a difference...

yep that's why I just picked up the lpe 710 kit

At 18k on the clock, I replaced my coupler with a ZZP coupler. It's very well made. The OEM coupler starter to wear a groove on the shaft!

What did those changes net you in RWHP gains? I did the bricks and the coupler, but stayed away from even a small pully change as I didnt want to address cooling due to the smaller pully.
