Default Anyone running the morimoto headlights?

I was wondering on their quality. I ran morimoto on my silverado a few years back and they were bad. They leaked and quality sucked. I heard they got better. Anyone running them on their C6? Who did you use to install them? Yourself or like a local mechanic?

I installed them on my C6 Z and haven’t had any issues. Quality is good. Only issue I had was when I installed the headlights using the mounting studs that came with the new lights. The lights seemed to sit to low. I ended up removing the factory studs from the factory lights and installing them on the new lights. Problem solved. Very happy with the look. I get a lot of positive comments.

Same issue as poster above, so I put a couple washers on the rear mounting studs and it fixed it.

Installed them on a friends car. Took under 3 hours total install time, taking time to not scratch or break anything. Used 2 fender washers under each stud because they sat too low. Wiring was super easy, that was only 10 minutes total of the install. I noticed they seem much lighter than the stock lights. Sure do look like quality units. No longevity comments.

I've got a brand new set that I was going to install in my car but I smoked a deer and totaled it. If you are interested in them let me know.

We have many, many customers with them and I have a set on my personal C6Z and absolutely love them. They are a huge improvement in not only looks but also performance. Overall, issues with them are very rare for us and we have had all original problematic areas revised out to no longer be a concern.

we have them available here if you are in the market for a set! Feel free to give me a shout if you have any questions on them! The Silverado XB’s had a plethora of concerns on release and the C6 is honestly one of the most reliable XB models in my opinion!

This is where I got mine. Very satisfied with them. I have the tail lights and side marker and backup lights also. Cole is great to deal with.

I installed them yesterday. I'm very happy with the performance and functions. But the beam ist too high. The adjustment possibilities seem not to work.
So i have to disassemble them again and also support the housing with some washers like the posters before. Not very professional i think.

A note for international users: The wiring harness non US-model has another plug connection, so the plug of the stock headlights had to be taken (i've no idea why, the cables are in the same order with the same function but the shape of the plug is another).

Run them on my car. No issues at all. I didn't have to swap studs or anything. I also installed them with some Lamin-X to protect them. Hardest part was waiting for the film to dry. I LOVE how they look. ZERO regrets.

Your welcome, I used the studs from the original headlights on the Morimoto lights. Didn't need any other washers.

I got my set from Josh at MerakiAutoworks for under 1050 shipped! I’m hesitant to say the actual price since I dont want to run the guy out of business lol but message him and I’m sure he’ll help y’all out. Anyways...I have a torch red Z06 and bought the black headlights so may look similar to the one posted up above.

Im installing my set in the next week so I’ll take some pics and make a short video to see if it helps anyone. Thanks for the tips on the washers, I’ll surely watch for that
