It's the clutch master cylinder, unless you have had the original replaced. Same thing happened to me last year right in the middle of a half mile run, I had the master replaced, no more problem.

The new master came out around 2016 and is all black. The old one the fluid reservoir is kind of a cream white (black lid/top) the new one is all black. Go this route first.

It’s not the pedal it’s the clutch itself - the stock pressure plate does this at the end of its life and /or if it is being over powered. Time to go with a new clutch. Mine did the exact same thing until I installed a new clutch - in this case I went with the monster lt1-s.

0 for two. Keep going. I told you first hand my pedal was sticking to the floor. I could pull it back and it would work. Took it to the the dealer and replaced the master. Tech was standing there when they asked the symptoms. He asked if I could pull the pedal back and still work. Said yes and he said it’s the master. Even two years and works perfect.

I'm always looking to prevent such issues from coming up. I did the heads last winter to prevent the dreaded dropping a valve. Would I be ahead of the game getting a new GM master cylinder so this does not happen. 07 Z06 with 540 WHP 37K on the clock. Clutch seems fine and hooks up well.

I'm a bit surprised that no one has suggested checking the clutch fluid. My clutch stuck to the floor one time similar to this and it was because my clutch fluid was dirty, which is a fairly common problem. It wasn't my master cylinder. All I had to do was flush the clutch fluid and I never had the issue again (now at 160k miles ). OP - do a search on Ranger Method on how to replace the clutch fluid. It is a simple procedure and definitely worth trying first.
And for those that say replacing the master cylinder worked for them, maybe it was really the clutch fluid that was also replaced when the master cylinder was replaced that solved the issue.

I am no expert, but have read many times on here that old, dirty fluid will cause a sticky clutch pedal as well.
Mine did the same thing and I repeatedly, drained, refilled and pumped the fluid until all that is in the reservoir was clean.
I believe that is referred to as the Ranger Method.

Can order the master from any GM dealership - just make sure it’s the black version.
Monster Clutch Company makes the LT1-s. amazing clutch! alleviated all high rpm release issues / clutch pedal sinking problems in all the cars I have installed into.

Here’s the part # for the updated master cylinder & yes it can begin to fail (pedal sticks to the floor) and then work for awhile after being manually pulled back up before the pedal sticks the floor again - happened in my Z06 before I replaced it.
