I received my Katech front splitter today. Fuming!
After waiting for 8 weeks I finally got it today. Katech has great customer service no doubt but my splitter came cracked In Three different spots! The box says fragile all over it and the foam inside the box looks like it could do a pretty good job protecting it. I don’t know if it’s boxed and shipped from Katech or from the manufacture that makes it. I hope the process getting the replacement won’t be bad. I’m sure I’m gonna have to wait another eight weeks. 🤦♂️ On a positive note the weave looks about 90% like Oem. The clear coat on it to me doesn’t look as thick and rich as Oem but it definitely has clear coat and the Katech may be lighter or thinner than Oem. I’ll try to do a comparison once I have Oem off and the replacement.

The evidence shows the box was folded.

What did they drag that parcel behind the truck? WTF!? I'd be livid bro.... "Fuming" is an understatement, but you are justified.

How frustrating! I'm not sure how they could have packed it better other than a wooden crate! Whatever happened to people taking pride in their job...this was definitely handled by others who flat out didn't care...

Spoke to Katech today and obviously they’re sorry. I know it’s not they’re fault. So now I have to tape up the box to get it back to Katech and my nightmare was confirmed. I have to wait another eight weeks for a new one. 🤦♂️

When I received mine from RPI designs the splitter was attached to a 1x4 inside the box to give it something ridgid to support it. That sucks to have to wait 8 more weeks. Sorry bud!

IMHO, the packaging could have been better
I recently purchased a ZR1 type splitter, and the way it was packaged was pretty much bullet proof.
Full length pieces of plywood ripped the same width/length as the splitter, one on each side.
Even UPS couldn't f... it up....

Update, so Katech contacted me that UPS would be picking up the box to return it to them. That’s a plus. Also there’s a splitter being made right now for a customer that will automatically go to me so it shouldn’t take 8 weeks. 🤞 Feel bad for the customer but it is what it is. Kudos to Katech for looking out.
