To block heat from the X pipe... ? I am running the Corsa and in this TX heat w/o the AC going it gets pretty hot over the tunnel
Descriptions, pics would be great!

I currently have Noico 80 mil covering the entire cabin. It made a very noticeable difference in my GS with longtubes but the Z must generate a lot more heat because anything left in the console or cup holder is hot to the touch after just a few minutes of driving. My next course of action is to pull off the x-pipe & line the tunnel underneath & maybe spring for one of those thicker tunnel plates.
Was also considering getting the Vette Nuts insulation kit & putting it on top of the Noico.

Tunnel Plate
ZO6 with H/C/I and ARH w/ catted x-pipe. I bought an alum tunnel plate with z-cool insulation from TPS Motorsports.
Noticeable difference. No idea of how much but I could feel the difference in the cabin. A bit cheaper that the Elite Eng plate.

I got them off Amazon.
They're pre-cut and fit very well. If you have the stock tunnel plate you'll want the side shields and tunnel shield. The Elite engineering tunnel plate comes with the DEI tunnel shield already adhered.

I'm wondering if the previous owner(s) added something because my tunnel doesn't get near as hot as my Z06 did even with the Elite tunnel plate with the thermal abs. My ZR1 has the tunnel plate, but no thermal abs, and no excessive heat in the console.

Not a ZR1 owner sadly, but I'm probably tackling this with 4 things:
a. ceramic coated headers / xpipe when it comes time to install them.
b. EE tunnel shield as mentioned above
c. insulating the top of the tunnel (interior of the car)
d. One of these, which seems to get good reviews - http://www.topflightrepro.com/corvet...sole-insulator
The overall interior temperature doesn't bother me much, just the console temp itself.

My Z with no cats and headers was getting extremely hot around the cup holder area. I just rebuilt my torque tube and ended up yanking a bunch of the factory insulation out as it was raining fiberglass on me. After removing a big section around the bellhousing and a little further along the torque tube and leaving it totally bare, the cup holder area doesn’t get nearly as hot as before. Was just driving around all weekend long didn’t have any issues at all so far.
Prior to this I was planning on wrapping the tunnel with the DEI material but I think I am happier without any material so far.

Thicker heat shielding netted about 45 minutes before the tunnel heated up.
Wrapping the exhaust netted another hour of "coolness."
Lastly, was insulation kit from "Cowboy" here, for an add'l half hour of comfort.
These 3 things made the Z as good as the regular C6.
