Default Zr1 Tire Size advice

Car is a 10 Zr1. Early this year I decided to buy some new wheels and tires for her. She was all stock so I needed some change.

I purchased 19" ForegestarCF10 wheels and wrapped them with toyo r888r rubber. I went with 285/35r19 up front and 345/30r19 out back. The back is lowered on stock bolts, didnt cut any ribs off or anything. The front is stock height. Offset on the wheels were 30 on the front and 50 on the rear

I do run some in the twisties. I had noticed after installing that when going over bridges on the interstate or dips in the road the front tires would rub. I have always had lowered vehicles so I am not new when it comes to driving a lowered vehicle. This car flat out rubs.

It is rubbing the inner fender liner. I think it is rubbing towards the middle of it over bridges and in the curves it is hitting the inner fender/ splash guard that bolts up to the back of the bumper. The left side runs worse than the right, but the right does rub.

I am **** and do not want to junk a car out and honestly it isnt driveable through the curves it is rubbing so bad . I'm afraid it is going to rip the liner out. It already rubbed a hole in it.

I thought about trimming the inner fender? Thought about taking the whole fender out, right where it bolts to the bumper where it is contacting the worse. I also thought about grinding down thin and reinstalling to keep the guard and keep the look and functionality.

I also thought about going back and buying (2) 295/30r19 which by a calculator shows to be .9" less in diameter in Hope's it would fix the issue. Also thought about going back and buying 2 new front wheels with less offset but if they are rubbing towards the middle at time, I dont see how that would fix the issue.

I'm am hoping the 30 sidewall height might work, any info you all could shed would help. Thank you

Is it possible the offset on the front wheels is off slightly?

I honestly can't say. I don't think it is BUT again I don't know. If you see the picture I have attached, it isnt like the are a super aggresive offset by any means.

Interesting... I too am running 19's all around. 19x11 up front, 19x13 out back. Signature Series SV501. My ZR1 is also lowered on stock bolts. I am running the Toyo 888R's in the 295/345 combo.. Mine have never rubbed anywhere.... However, my car isn't slammed....

Gorgeous Car CBM. I love those wheels. They were always one of my favorites.

So are you lowered in the front or just the rear?

Any idea what offset those are on the front?

I think my issue is the 35 sidewall height. I have yet to hear about anyone having issues on the 295/30 setup. Appreciate you sharing.

As Matt and Rus have said... run a 295/30-19, and you should be good. I run 345/30-19 in the rear as well. My car is not lowered, and yours is, so maybe once in awhile you might slightly rub, but nothing like you will with the taller 285/35 tire.

I am in agreement Sir. Hopefully that will take care of the issue. Appreciate the info and help from all.
