Your setup is similar to mine, except I'm running cats on ARH headers, I made 662 on corn, but it is a conservative build. I went with 1050 ID's, duty cycle is around 50%, plenty of room to grow!

Isn’t just pulling top of fender enough room?

Some have done it that way but you run the risk of cracking the fender . Once the top screws are off you still have to pull both liners to get to the hidden washer up front and screw at the back. From there it's only 4 more bolts and a rivet underneath and it's off with all the access you need

I'm getting ready to order a set of Greg's new bricks. I'll gladly spend the $1100 to avoid any future failures. I will be selling a set of Greg's reinforced OEM bricks that I bought at this time last year. They have 4000 miles on them. I'm only running a 2.60" upper pulley and a Lingenfelter snout.

why are you changing them out? if they don't leak and they are reinforced why change them?

Ive seen the bricks leak reinforced but only because the cars got beat on with mulitple hits and not enough heat exchanger in the front of the car. Im at 940 rwhp and no issues so far but I have a water tank and pump with a BIG heat exchanger in front. Greg makes good bricks I just did some in Carlos car this past weekend and they fit perfect. So perfect I had to use silicone spray to make them fit. Alot of passes back and fourth 9 or 10 total. Can you imagine once we all get ahold of the dual pass lids? Game Changer!

We’re gong to have the lid off to add the air foils so I figure I’ll put the new bricks in just for peace of mind. Even though the current OEM bricks are reinforced on the top and bottom, the coolant passages are still a weak link, so they’re being replaced with the new HD bricks.

Kong makes beautiful stuff, but a little pricey for me, right now! My pocket is pretty light at the moment!
