I recently purchased a 2009 Z06. I have noticed that the AC fan runs on high when the system is set to recirculate. If I turn off teh recirc, the fan slows down but not to a normal low speed. What could be the problem. This is my third c6 z06. None of the other cars did this. Do I have an ac fan control issue or something else like the BCM going bad. Everything else seems to work as it should.

check the fan control module, also check when the pcm turns the fans on and off, 5 volt reference too

The fan speed picks up a tad when Going to recirculating on all Gm cars then it slows down when taking it out of recirculate.

I went and checked mine, it does exactly as you state. Nothing wrong with mine. Probably the same with yours.

i think its just a difference in sound from when the flap changes from outside to recirc...

also there is an air filter restricting air flow from the outside.... i don't believe there's a recirc air filter...
