Need feedback on motor mounts

Heard nothing but good things besides a little add NVH. I run the hinsons for past 6+ years and zero issues. No failures, work great, and no bad vibes. Can't go wrong with either I think.

i have pfadt solids on the car. Have had issues with false knock. If i had it to do over, i'd go with the AMT mounts no question. my switch out at some point in any case.

I use stock mounts with additional heat wrap and shielding. My set was replaced at 25k miles and I now have 63k miles. This is with long tubes. They are still going strong and I check them periodically

If it's a grocery getter or commuter I recommend sticking with stock. If performance is the name of your game and you can scarifice a little more NVH they keep the engine from moving in any direction and vibrations are damped with rubber throughout the mount. They're also gauranteed for life. Finally if you put them on and hate them I'll give you a refund, but that sucks to do a motor mount job twice just so I just try and be honest up front and let people know that it is not a cushy, stock-feeling mount.

I use Mark's (AMT) Vulcan motor mounts. A tad bit more NVH, but it doesn't bother me in the slightest. Very well manufactured pieces that do their job.
Putting heat wrap on the stock mounts is like putting a blanket over a stuck pig. It's still a pig, and a leaky, fat, cushy one at that. If you are going to replace them, do it right and once and for all.

I installed Hinson mounts. That was before the AMT were available, or I probably would have installed them. I was a bit concerned that the semi-solid type mount would introduce engine vibration/nose to the car. In all honesty, if they did - I can't tell. Road noise from the tires is more than whatever the mounts may transmit. I like how the car's front end lifts with the aftermarket mounts. With the OE mounts, the front right would always lift higher than the left. Front end lifts even now, which should equal better power transfer to the rear wheels.

I installed Hinson motor and trans mounts around 10,000 miles. The stock ones were shot and all the fluid had leaked out. The Hinsons barely added any NVH, but I do recommend wrapping them to cope with heat so they dont melt. I take my car on cross-country road trips, so I couldn't go with something that rattled my teeth out.
