427 Out of Storage
I've had my 2013 427 in storage for almost 2 years. I plan to pull it in the next week or two. Other than regular oil and clutch fluid changes, it has all the factory fluids. It may have had a coolant flush and fill. Can't recall. It has the factory Michelins with about 18K miles. It's been on a trickle charger.
I plan to:
Replace all 4 tires.
Oil change
Coolant flush and fill
Brake fluid change
Should I:
Replace diff fluid?
Replace battery?
Change any other fluids or perform any other preventative maintenance?
Any thoughts or advice appreciated.

Pull the plugs and turn the engine over to get good oil pressure to the bearings. before starting it the first time. That will protect the bearings from a dry start under pressure.

i have read in this forum that if you put the gas pedal to the floor while cranking the injectors wont inject fuels and you will safely build good prestart oil pressure.

This, always starts an argument, does it work, building pressure and lubricating, who knows, it makes sense to me, just keep the pedal down while it's turning over over it will fire. You can hit the kill switch after a couple seconds to stop it from turning over.

i think the items you plan to do is what I would do. Only replace the battery if its giving you some problems. If its been on a good tender it should be ok.

I agree with the above...floor clear mode works.
If the tires are in good shape, you may not have to change them right away, depending upon what you plan to do with the car
(street ? drags ? track ?). But keep an eye on them. I just replaced mine (8 yrs old, 15K mi's) but they felt fine on the street.
EDIT: replace the clutch fluid (Ranger method works fine)

Good ideas from the posters here, I wouldn't replace the battery unless you have some issues with it

Thanks for the replies. Holding the accelerator worked as described. I would like someone to comment on the rear differential fluid and if it's beneficial or essential to replace at this point. Tires are scheduled for replacement on Wednesday. Oil change, coolant flush / fill and battery replacement today.

I would think you are fine with the diff fluid. That can last many more miles than you have on that car. However if it’s peace of mind with you, then change it.
Just curious. Do you have the original heads on that LS7?
