I'm wanting to Add roughly 100 or so Hp to my bone stock ZR1.......

was thinking nitrous, but I would like to hear anyones opinions on what some of their first mods were..........

porting the blower, and stock snout........ or no porting and adding a LPE snout?

which pulley did you go with....

what were some of your first mods that made you love the car even more

I did a 2.6 and tune and that put me where I wanted to be.
Nitrous would be the easy most powerful single add on. You could do a 75-80 shot and that would yield 100+ at the motor

I do believe the LPE like kit with a 2.3 (instead of a 2.6) and gutted cats would get you very close if not right there.

Kong ported blower and snout + 102tb and Kong 5” intake with e85 and tune will get you where you want to be. Oh, and removing stock cats. Or skip the e85 and get a 2.3 upper (installed by Kong when he does the porting) with the tune. It really doesn’t take much

I would say if money is no object you could look into MAGNUSON SUPERCHARGER or possibly a procharger. Tons of hp, but also tons of $$

So using the stock snout really isn't worth putting the pulley on?
Would I have to get bigger injectors for the 2.3 pulley, or would the stock injectors be able to hold that....

I just want to be able to get into the mid to high 10s

My car trapped 137mph with filter, 2.6, injectors, and flex fuel. You don’t need much to get what you want.

My car dyno'd at 525 RWHP Stock. With Headers (Pfadt Tri-Y), Tune, 2.6 upper & 14% lower pullies (Stock Snout & TB) it dyno'd 640 RWHP on pump 93, and 685 RWHP on E85. Then added NW102 TB, Ported Stock Snout & Blower (By Kong), retune went to 760 RWHP (E85), 720 (Pump 93).

704 RWHP 820+ to the Crank @ 6lbs boost (very conservative).........Methanol in the windshield washer reservoir LOL!!! Obviously not a ZR1.

Well i’m Not a drag guy, so to me the pulley swap in my stock snout with stock airbox was all I wanted, it definetly put power you can feel because with my old sleeping stock belt the car would drop from 13.5 to 10 psi and The resulting power loss during highway pull was very noticeable. If you are looking for mid high 10’s then a 2.6 with tune and some dr gets you there (as long as you also have the “driver mod”).
You won’t need injectors with a 2.6, but if you go e85 you probably will max them out.

stock snout can be ported to 102, intakes are limited though but the synergy has worked for people for a while. Or get the Kong 5” and a custom made adapter.

So how much boost were you at with a 2.6 and 14% lower?
