Default Kooks 2” stepped headers

Hi all....does kooks make 2” stepped headers for our cars? I tried to research a little online but couldn’t find anything. I did find 1 7/8” to 2”.

Is that what these are?

Yes kooks makes stepped headers so I’d say that’s what you have.

For street application, even with 630+ N/A RWHP, 1 7/8 Kooks unit is plenty; 2" headers is not necessary - no true ROI...save your money.

Thanks,
Carlos

Could you measure the OD of the pipes? I am pretty sure they are outside diameter measured after looking at the Summit Racing web site.

Interesting...I always thought these were measured by the ID. Unfortunately I don’t have calipers to measure the OD.

Maybe these are 1 7/8” stepped to 2” because I can’t find 2” stepped kooks headers anywhere online.

The reason I ask what these are is because I want to get rid of them but want to give the buyer the correct info.

I believe the 7/8"-2" Kooks stepped headers are made for Zip Corvettes.

Nope, those are just Kooks. The headers that Kooks custom made for us were 1 3/4 stepped to 2.

I had a set of 1-7/8 to 2” stepped kooks. They absolutely do exist if you call kooks you can order them. Now with that said they fit like crap and was the last set of kooks I’ll buy

Thanks for the clarification. Can you talk about the advantages/disadvantages of the 3/4" to 2" stepped headers vs the more common 7/8" to 2"?

It was mid range torque. The upper HP number was within the error of the dyno. These actually came into existence for us on two things that happened around the same time. One we were working on a head and cam package where everything was designed around the cam we were using and Leighton Reese's World Challenge race car. We will probably not make them again, for anything else, it was just the right timing.
