Default TPMS is failing....maybe? 🤷🏻*♂️

A few days a go I got a high tire pressure alert and my left rear tire PSI on the DIC is reading 50 psi. If I let air out it still reads 50 psi. It had the correct PSI in it but for whatever reason it reads 50 psi and gives me a high pressure alert. Is it bad? Need a reset? I saw lots of xx psi or 0 psi threads but none with over pressure.

Generally a false reading will auto-reset after 3 ignition cycles. You may have a strong RFI locally or just a timing anomaly, since the LR is the last one to report. Don't forget that if the sequence is wrong or tires got moved to other locations, the DIC readings could be for other tires. When you get something weird happening, check all 4 tires.

Nothing has changed with the tires. Factory eagle F1
all for tires have been checked multiple times now with a digital pressure gauge. I have cycled ignored over three times, prob a good 8-10. Other 3 tires show on the DIC what the digital gauge is reading, except left rear which says 50 psi.

Change the order that they report. If the "new" LR still shows 50, then the problem is the RCDLR. i.e. changing reported info.
If the actual LR reports 50 at the "new" location, it's a bad sensor.

I looked in the manual and it doesn’t say how to change the order they report.....so how do I do that?

Easy - as you go through the retrain steps, juat trigger the learning of the sensors in a different order. The BCM doesn't "know" what corner the sensors are on, you tell it which sensor is on which corner by the order you trigger them during the learning process.

All that said, I doubt it's the BCM.

I have an 06 ZO6, can I retrain without a TPMS sensor tool?

I would do a search, but I am thinking maybe not.. On my 2011 (Bosch vs. Delphi BCM) I can trigger them by lowering the tire pressure below 25 p.s.i.

No, but some tire stores will do it free. Just ask to start the sequence at the RF, then RR, LR, and finish at the LF.
If the DIC reads 50 at the RR, the sensor is bad. If it reads 50 at the LF, there's a problem with the RCDLR.
When either problem is corrected, you'll need to reset to the original LF, RF, RR, LR.

Personally, I'd disconnect the battery for several minutes to reset everything and hope the 50psi was a fluke.

Ok I’ll try the battery being it’s all I can do from home. Maybe it works.....

Do you have a mild to wild hooked up on the fuse box. After I installed mild to wild in my 2011 ZR1 I would start getting bad readings or no reading on the left rear. I would go through the relearn by lowering the air pressure and all would be good for a few days. Got tired of resetting all the time and removed the control box for mild to wild. No problems with TPMS since removal. As said in another reply it could be it was interference from RF.
