Default Just brought home the new Z06

Finally got into a C6Z! My last two Z06's have been various levels of build in a C5, and a FRC before that. Definitely happy with the purchase this far. I got it for a steal, partially from miles (~82k). It needs a little tlc, but I bought it to be a driver, and occasional track/autox car. Not going to be a garage queen! Car is stock minus a K&N cold air, it even still has active CAGS.

I've already ordered hood/hatch shocks, a couple other trim pieces, and most importantly, AHP #4 heads. I'll tear into it soon and start cleaning it to my usual level. Unfortunately, I have to sell my WS6 Formula though. So not all good news.

Awesome! Congrats fella and welcome to the 7.0L club. I recently joined the C6 Z06 family coming from a C5 Z06 about 6 years ago. They are amazing cars and I smile every time I hit the loud pedal.

you don't need photobucket to post pics anymore.
down at the bottom of the reply box click on "go advanced" then go down and click "manage attachment" box then you can download them straight from your files

Couple pictures from yesterday with the WS6 and our GTI. I have a front lip on order since the last one was removed due to the PO's driveway.

Must line-up WS6 & ZCar for a short, spirited side-by-side run.
Just for comparison purposes, of course.

Nice find.
MY & trim level?

It would not be much of a run since the only "real" modifications are 4.10's and a lid on the WS6. Would still be fun though. I think it might stay local, so it may happen.

Z is an '06, and I believe a 2LZ, as it has memory, nav radio, heated seats, etc.

Just noticed that the car has a M2W installed but I have no remotes. Is the Amazon version that is unbranded still the way to go for ~$20, instead of the whole thing for $80?

Yes. I just did it. It's very easy.

Congrats, skip the remote and do add-a-fuse and switch for under $15

I'll have to look into this. I was going to program the home link button with a new remote.

I'm in the Linden area. South of Raleigh, north of Fort Bragg. I haven't ever done much with any NC groups, but then again, they don't seem to be as organized as say the Porsche club.

Nice! I'm just up the freeway from ya. I'm in the Selma area. Like a 20 minute drive.

WS6 would get slaughtered, this I know.
Seems like yesterday WS6 & SS were hottest thing going.
HAD to get a '99 SS myself, less $ than Poncho w/ similar performance.
Really love seeing the difference in tech, from then vs today, a reminder of how special LS7 is and will certainly be tomorrow.

Excellent, thanks.
Love VY, it always pops.
Once heads are addressed, you're golden.
Welcome to the fraternity.
