Who insures your ZO6?
I will drive my Z only 2,000 miles a year or less. I bought it last November 18th and as of today, I have driven it about 500 miles. I expect to drive it more as soon as I have my “head fix”. I ordered the new heads from AHP, with MS90 guides and the dual springs. Back to my original question, considering my low driving mileage, is there a more inexpensive way to insure my car? My current insurance company only gives me a break if under 7,500 miles, which is very little. So any recommendations of a reputable insurance company would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Clayton

I actually switched from State Farm ( had them since 18 y/o) to Liberty just last year. Saved me some real $.... Also bundled my home as well...

Thanks for the replies. One of the companys mentioned is the one I use. I just wonder if any company actually has a policy that covers a vehicle that is driven just 2 to 3 thousand miles a year.

USAA, used to have AAA. A nice story about USAA though... I was driving my blown C5Z that day to go to work, and a freak storm came in (northern San Diego county) and it was raining hard. I had to get gas, so I turn to go into my favorite gas station, and I find out too late that the water was MUCH deeper than I thought it was. There were a few cars behind me, so I didn't think I had much choice but to keep going. Can you guess the rest? Yes, hydrolocking really can happen.
The motor was making a horrible clanking sound, then the motor stopped running. Bent connecting rod. I called USAA, explained what happened, and they covered the replacement motor, calling it an act of nature due to the heavy rains. They even covered the cost of a forged short block, because I could prove that's what got broken. Cunningham Motor Sports was too booked up to do the motor replacement, but they did the tuning afterwards - I had to pay for that out of pocket.

4 other cars, and a C5 & C6Z as low-miles-driven pleasure use only, 5k and 2k/yr respectively.
Switched just the Corvettes to Hagerty from AAA
Corvette coverage dropped from $1700/yr to $999, with better coverage too.

I use Voyager in Frisco TX.
Unlimited mileage, can't use it for work, has to be garage kept where I live, we have an agreed upon value so if it gets totaled there's no argument. I also have increased limits above what the state requires. It even covers the dog I don't have in case he gets hurt in an accident.
All this and more for $712.00 a year, one payment.

All of my cars are with the NCM (National Corvette Museum). Talk to Adam Boca.
I switched from Hagerty since they wouldn't insure the Z06 because my daily drivers are more then 5 years old. NCM had no issue with that. I switched, got lower rates and never looked back.
