Reread the post and I guess he meant "burned out". Never been there on cars, but did take a 7 year break to finish some mountain climbing goals and couldn't afford both the cars (racing) and the mountaineering. Then went back to road course wheel to wheel racing for another 20 years, now just do HPDEs quickly as my body couldn't take the beating from endurance racing.

Earlier I thought you meant changing SC pullies - sorry for making the comment and missing the real meaning.

I go through different periods of hobbies I get all-in for. Cars seems to come up more than others, it probably helps that thinks tend to break so forced upgrades. But totally get being burned out on it. Now that his car is built and “done”, turning it down a bit should make it super fun on the street and hopefully super reliable to keep enjoying it every time he turns the key. I’ve done the high horsepower thing and I enjoy the driving and events and such way more than having a broken car in the garage so totally get that perspective. Easier said than done though when you have the ability to turn it up 400whp.

The higher end self lubing one. So far no issues, but only ~800 miles on it. Just out enjoying the car when weather is nice and I'm in town. No real updates besides that.

Yes, been enjoying it for almost a year now. Runs great. Just put a new stereo in it last weekend swapping out the old pioneer nav with a new kenwood. Starts up each time, runs great, fun to drive. Put about 150 miles a week on it now driving it back and forth to gym and around town. Moved into a new house last November, so that has been big priority. Still dealing with all that and renovation. New carpet, window coverings, etc.

Chilling at new house

Maybe I missed it... What kind of power did it make?

With a few miles on motor and wrong push rods made something like 1049 at 5500rpm. Fixed that and never took it back to dyno, because I really don't care. Turned it down power wise and it is 1000000x more fun and enjoyable making less power. Swapped to R888s instead of drag radials, and it drives nicer, hooks decent, and is fun to drive as opposed to basically just race car. Went from a 2.7 to a 3.3 blower pulley, so who knows, but it is way way way more fun now and actually enjoyable.

It looks pretty, it works, and it is solid so should be reliable. Other than that, can't really say much. Makes power, drives good, fits good, won't warp or pop like others. I know other people making 1500+rwhp on it, so obviously it can work for big power.

Congrats on the new house! I see a full service lift in this spot in the near future. An upgrade from the Maxjax..

Glad the car is back and you're enjoying it.

Well, MaxJax was sold to a friend who just bought a c7z and has a ls7 z28. Lift won't go there. Lift will go in the 30x50' shop being built next to house.

Any high performance car like this will see its share of jackstands. I would say at least once a year spends a month on lift/stands just getting a complete go through checking everything. Always find at least one thing rattled loose, or moved, or that needs replaced.

Just been out driving and enjoying car. It was 102 yesterday and drove it all over. Home depot, store, gym, errands. AC ice cold and never made it past 203F on coolant temps, so that is nice. About 5k on this motor now, and all is good.

Besides some squeaks and rattles that maybe one day I'll try to fix, car is pretty much perfect. Starts up great, drives fine, makes great power. The squeaks are probably the delrin bushings or suspension stuff.
