Default Weld RTS specs to clear ZR1 brakes...

Hey fellas,
I've searched but this is why I'm posting...
I have another vette with 15" Weld S71 rears (which obviously wont work) but I have a pair of 17x4.5 alumastar runners and a pair of 18x7 RTS S71's for the front as well in Z06 fitment.

Since I have two pairs of fronts for the other car... I'm hoping I can just order a pair of rears for the ZR1 and use one of those pairs of fronts when needed if they'll work.

Will the 17x4.5 alumastars or 18x7 rts's fit on the front of the ZR1?

I know 17" rears require grinding on the calipers but will an 18x11 or 18x12 fit without any grinding?

Thanks in advance!!

No one runs weld RTS's without grinding the calipers or changing the brakes all together?

I know I can go with forgestar or CCW to get an 18 on the rear but really would like to fit an 18" S77 on it.

I thought about grinding the calipers and doing a 17" S71 but decided on 18X12 CCW's instead

Nice! I actually like the look of that combo. What model ccw are those rears?

I'm really trying to avoid grinding the big brakes. I think I'd rather do a Z06 rear brake swap to run 17's or even get the spindles and baby brakes for 15's before I go grinding on the calipers. But... I'd really prefer to just get an 18 that fits like you did. Car will be staying bolt ons and e85 so it'll make low 700's max.

They are the C2K's with a 345/35/18 Mickey SS. The 325/35/18 ET Street R wasn't released when I bought tires or I would have went with them. My car makes 730/800 and these do well. Got it to go 1.5 sixty foot at the track

Nice! You have exactly what I want to run... 345/35/18! That's the perfect size for me!

I'll be using them for both. Mostly just for the traction I need on the street when I go out for fun runs.

If I get serious about tracking the car... I'll prob consider at least a swap to Z06 brakes in the rear to clear a 17 or even go with the 15" spindle conversion for some 15x10.

A pair of 18x13 that fit over stock rear brakes should be good enough though since the 345 mickeys hook pretty well.

Yeah the 345 Mickey S/S would probably be the best for mostly street but the 325 ET Street R actually hook a bit better as it's a different compound and tread pattern but wouldn't be great if you got caught in the rain

Where are you located? I will most likely be pulling them off over the winter for the ET Street R but with shipping it may not be worth it to you to buy mine

I'm in Houston, Texas. Well id be interested if you do take them off. I'd be interested in wheels and tires or just the rear tires alone.
