Wow!, I really never thought about his... it's always flash floods here... but you have time.
Mmmmmm, I would duct tape all cabin seams, the muffler tips, remove the air intake and tape the throttle body... oh, and the cabin air filter.

Get the car out of there. If nothing else, get it to a service station, repair facility etc. and pay somebody to put it on a lift and raise it as high as it will go. You still have time to do something. Got to at least try!

I've reach out to everyone I know they've all left town. Hopefully my insurance will give me first shot at it.

It depends on the city where the policy was written. Many snowbirds leave cars in their summer Florida homes and the polices where taken out in the cities of their winter homes.

Your car's value will be based off of comparable cars in the area pre-damage. If similar year and mileage ZR1s sold in the area recently for $50k, and yours was in similar condition, yours will be valued around $50k. Most insurance companies will not pay out for modifications unless coverage is specifically stated.

If I were there to jack it up I'd have driven away. There's isn't anyone at my condo to even talk too. One neighbor I did ask Friday to move it left town when I told him it had moved to the west side. He was planning to ride it out. So much for neighbors.

I know Longboat Key had mandatory evac and you're further south. Last time I looked at the radar, the eye looked to be heading for Naples.

Some of the tv reporters seem to be broadcasting from high rise building garages 2 or more stories up. Can you get your car to one of these areas? If it gets flooded I do not think the damage would be more then a 1/3rd of the value of the car. You might be able to get it properly fixed if the flooding is minor up to the floor board but not above the seat butt cushion .

I've got my 2009 insured through Grundy Worldwide and have its value set to $67k. You pay based on the amount you want the car insured for within reason. You can name any price but they will then need you to provide justification for the value. Also the cost is half of what my yearly premium was through my regular insurance company. Might be worth taking a look.
