This made me LOL~ I know you didn't buy this garbage advise, it was just too funny to ignore.

There is a warning light that comes on,,, AFTER the boom!

Plenty of places around to fix the heads. Go with a known source with a good reputation and you will have peace of mind, and a GREAT car that'll put a permanent grin on your face..

I've known the sales guy 15 years, he's a old dude that runs the fleet department. He knows zero about the Z06 so I cut him some slack. The service guy though, should know better.

I'm pulling together a counter offer now given the fact I will need to address the head issue.

Its a "say anything reassuring to make the sale" approach.

I did a year as a car salesmen many moons ago. It's where I know this guy from, so I am well versed in the game they are playing.

There is a almost twin to this car (42k miles)that has been for sale much longer only 50 miles away for less money so I don't think this one is going anywhere in a hurry.

I will make them a low ball offer and see where they come back at. my target is not all that much lower than where they are now.

Seems a little high to me. Especially with the warranty added in.

Yellow does resale lower in general, but this is a nice shade and a nice car. I've found yellow is is polarizing color on sport cars. You have people who will seek them out and the others avoid.

That is a good price on the car with those miles. I would get it and negotiate a GMPP warranty with the dealer. You can check Nadaguides and Kelly Blue Book to see what the value of the car is being sold out right, not a trade in.

Great color choice too, I still get many compliments on mine almost 11 years later and enjoy it just as much as day one driving it home.

Price is not bad for the car and I would get the heads done for a peace of mind.

I would spit in the guy's face for saying sh*t like a "warning light will come on before the BOOM!"

Dealers always have wiggle room for negotiations. Negotiate away!

HUD is standard in all Z06s.

I paid $36 for MY '08 with 28K Silver Z last September. So, that price is a little high, IMO. (Texas)

'07 also had an issue with the rocker arm bearings. So that's also something to consider.

If you just do the heads, with a trunnion upgrade, it can be done for right around $2000 with you doing the work. If you want to throw in a cam, I'd plan for the price to double. I'm in it around $5000 with tuning fees and the little bits here and there. I also did the work myself.
