Did your Mantic look like this?
I purchased a new Mantic 9000 clutch kit about three weeks and it just arrived.
Does the slave line come "pre-oiled"? Are the bolt heads marks from balancing? Several of the bags were opened as well.
I'm assuming this is all for testing?
Does this look right to you guys?

Mine came in similar condition. Slave leaked everywhere and packaging was bad. I don't recall if it had bolt marks on the pressure plate...

Yes and yes.
I think they maybe do some QC checks, and the GM slaves seem to come with fluid/etc in them which is why they are capped.
As long as no fluid got on the friction material, just throw it in.

Thanks guys for the comments.
My vendor is working with me and trying to help out, so I'll leave them out. The pressure plate IS bolted down usually, because it's balanced from the factory I'm told from several sources. Luckily, the clutch pads did not get any fluid on them though. Everything else is uncalled for IMO. The Mantic distributor and their QC is a joke. I've spent an hour or two today just cleaning up parts and making sure nothing was broke.
I'll never buy a Mantic again if this is what you get for ~$1800...

My new flywheel had several dings, and imperfections in the friction surface. Had to clean them up. Wasn't happy about that, but ohh well, you don't see it once installed. It works great. I'll take function over form any days, especially on a part you can't see installed, but it does suck to get a dinged up part, even if it won't effect the function.

I agree in general, but they put them in these crazy looking cases to brand their product, why not take some time to package everything correctly, and have your customers feel good about dropping a couple of grand. I opened it and my excitement turned into "WTF is this ****?"
Let's hope when I feather that clutch out on a green light it will be worth it like everyone says.

The case thing is soooooo blown out of proportion. Its a cheap gimmick that people seem to love.

Mine also came perfect. Assuming you received it over the holidays, I'm sure it was handled with care by the courier of your choice throughout its trip from Australia to your home.
