So I've been thinking of buying a trashed GRAND SPORT cus I want the steel frame for a nice cage and transferring all my bits over.

OR I thought what if I buy a C6 ZR1 & transfer my Caravaggio interior into that ?

Which would be less $? Which would be cooler ?

I feel like this has been discussed already...but maybe it wasn't you? What all is left of your Z06? What do you plan to use this car for? I hear steel frame and cage and think "track", but I don't think "track" when I hear Caravaggio interior.

Buy a beater GS, move your motor (presumably still alive) and all the other track bits over to that car. Then also buy a ZR1, just so you can have one of the best Corvettes ever made, and use the Caravaggio interior on that car.

That's not a bad idea.

I bought a Callaway Z06 race car last year w no engine. Maybe I drop the Katech from Z06 in There & get a ZR1 for the Caravaggio.

Me too. I feel for him sometimes. I wonder if he needs a new best friend. I'm available....and will consult for free. I'm a hands on kinda guy when it comes to assessing equipment.

the callaway isn't caged? I caged my Z. World challenge aero and over 700hp... weeeeee.

If you are thinking about a cage, get a tube framed race car with a corvette shell. $30K for a trans am car and it will be purpose built.
