120,000 Mile Extended Warranty from GM? Trying to Figure Something out.
All,
I am trying to wrap my head around something, but it doesn't seem to make much sense. I tried searching on Google, and I can't find much on this topic.
I owned an 07 C6Z until 2012 and about six months before I sold it, the slave cylinder went out and I had it replaced. I was just told by a friend that apparently, the powertrain warranty on these vehicles has been extended to 120,000 miles and I would be eligible for a refund on the cost of the slave cylinder replacement if I still had the receipt. He was just at the dealer and this is what the service tech hold him. I'm not quite sure if he heard the rep correctly, but this doesn't seem right.
Is this true?

GM has extended the power train warranty on these old cars to 120,000 miles? I had not heard this. How many years would it encompass?

Read my response above.... The OP was referring to the extended coverage on the master cylinder, but mistaking it for coverage on the slave cylinder.

I did read your post but his post referred to a 120,000 mile extended "powertrain warranty". I was thinking in terms of motor/tranny/rear end when I hear powertrain. I'm aware of the extended coverage regarding the slave cylinder.
