C7 Z06 Laguna Seca Lap Time
Randy Pobst ran a 1:38 with it, commented several times that the power wasn't all there. Wonder what it was? At any rate, I love love love my HCI C6 Z06

You can go to the C7Z section and read about all the excuses there.....and if you comment, you'll be scolded as a jealous, lowly C6Z owner who can't afford a C7Z.. Better take your tape measure with you if you go.

It's funny reading the replies of those guys and they think GM is going to fix the heat issues. Good luck with that....

I believe it!! That's their go-to reply for any criticism of the car, "you're hating on this because you can't afford one". Because C7Z are made of unobtainium or something; whatever they're made of, it sure doesn't go around Laguna Seca too fast

So much for beating Vipers times...as the waxers predicted
, as far as American cars as usual the vette will never beat Viper, imagine what the ACR is going to do as it has a shot at the top spot.

What is odd to me is that the CTS-V has the same engine, unless I'm mistaken, yet did suffer from heat soak, octane, or whatever the excuse is. I find that puzzling. Makes me think the power loss is related to one of two things, or both. Calibration, or radiators/heat exchangers, or a combination of the two.
Same engine (I think)
Same octane (presumably)
hmm

06 Z06 is still slower than a broken C7 Z06 lol Then again the driver in 2006 is no Randy Pobst (might have been Michael Andretti, son of Mario Andretti who hasnt had as much seat time our Laguna Seca track exp as Randy) - I;d be curious to see what he would wring out of a first year C6 Z

The new z06 is meant to be many things aside from a dedicated track car and I guess thats whats to be argued whether this car should have been less of a ZR1 -Be all- to everyone - type and more if just a dedicated track weapon with sufficient cooling and powertrain support.
But to call out the new z06 out on its weight and not take into consideration everything else it has to offer is a bit unfair.

love the guys who claim no problems tracking their C7Z, BUT!!! all you got to do is cut this, add this, rig up that, change this....and make sure you run in less than 75 degree weather short shifting and the car runs great! LMMFAO
I love my C6Z more and more everyday.
