Default CarMax value of 2009 Z06

Seriously considering upgrading to a C7 from a forum dealer. Not really worried about the tax credit for trading it in, as I'm exempt from vehicle tax.

There is a CarMax about one hour away, but they only tell me to bring it in for an offer. Curious to know what I might get for my 2009 2LZ w/50K miles at CarMax.

Vehicle is in excellent shape and will be returned to stock, except the 19/20 chrome ZR1 wheels, before trading it in.

Cargurus.com can give you a fairly accurate "ballpark" trade in estimate, but ultimately the vehicle will have to be appraised in person.

I took my blk 3lz o9 z with 38k miles to CarMax just to see what they would offer. $34k is all they would do. CarMax is only good if your hurting for cash and willing to take a big loss. Even the sales person had a confused look on there face and apologized.

You'll get much better value posting it on here and accepting a low ball offer. Lol

I'd say it's worth 40 all day long.

I guess you could say that, but it doesn't make it true. You might get upper 30's selling it yourself. Trade-in somewhere between $33 and $36k is my guess. You should just put a for sale ad on here for $55k like everyone else. Lol.

If you have a car in mind and they're asking say $50K, and only offering you $34K offer them less on the for sale price to make up the difference for your Trade-In. Long story short 2 can play that game...haha

I just purchased a 2011 with 18k miles and 12month/12,000 warranty for $45k. Car is very clean. Just a FYI if that helps at all.

You might get a little better selling yourself. I've sold a vehicle for 3k more than carmax offered by private sale.
