Used Kooks header question
Hey guys,
I just picked up a set of used kooks headers with midpipe. Nothing else came with it.
My question is....
1.) Do I need 02 extension plugs? If so, how many?
2.) Do I need to buy kooks bolts? So I may be able to bolt the headers to the midpipe, or can I reuse my factory bolts?

When I installed my Kooks headers I only needed the extensions for the rear oxygen sensors, the extensions with the so called white connectors (actually kind of light gray). You will need bolts (don't need Kooks bolts) for headers to mid-pipe as mine had one bolt and one stud each side for the factory exhaust manifold to factory mid-pipe. This was on my 2008 Z06. Recommend a good quality (I used grade 8) bolt 2 3/4" - 3" long, 3/8" diam., with flanged locking nut (not nylock) and head.
Whether you reuse your factory manifold gaskets and bolts is up to you. Some say you can reuse these, others suggest new. Check out other threads on that debate

Do you know if I need 2 extension? One for each side? Do you have a link to those bolts? Thanks!!

are you running cats? if not then no, they will be deleted. if you are running cats then yes you will need a pair of them and that is how they are sold. just go to a hardware store and get the bolts there.
