If the aluminum frame is bent that can be a problem. Also unless you can repair it yourself you'd likely be better off finding another car.

What did he do? Drive over a boulder? It looks like he ran over something lower than the frame front cross member that took out stuff low in the car. If the cradle is broken there could be damage to the engine mounts and the drive train. Did the air bags go off as well? You probably are looking at $15-20K minimum repair cost including parts (used if you can find them), labor and materials. Figure front cradle, new left fender and headlight, new left fender mount to be glued to the frame, new left front lower control arm, new front spring, maybe new stab. bar plus replace broken end link, 1 or 2 air bags, repair/replace hood, new front splitter, new front fascia and crash foam behind fascia, new air bag control module, new brake ducts, new front inner fender wells, new radiator support, maybe new AC condenser and radiator plus new fan control module/cooling fan and a new EOC. If there is drive train damage it could soar well above that amount. Does it have a salvage title? You would have to get the car at a really good price for it to be worth repairing. You could get a good used car in the high 30s.

It's on fleabay. He wants to much for it with that kind of damage. I think by the time you replace everything you could buy one with a clear title.
No matter how much you spend on it, it will still have a salvage title.
Probably better to part it out in it's current condition. He is admitting that there is frame damage along with all the known listed broken parts.
How much of a chance are you willing to take???

Thnks for all those replies! It has really helped me make the decision. I wont buy the car and most probably it'll sold for parts.
But seller is still trying to sell it for 20k.
Thanks once again everyone.
PS the car has hit another car and then jumped on the high sidewalk

Not telling you what to do.
I'd stay clear of the car. Lot of undercarriage damage. That's trouble.

Anyone even giving this a second thought unless you own a frame shop with aluminum experience should put that thought totally out. His updated pictures show that the frame is crumpled behind the firewall. He further states that the replacement parts won't even bolt on with the frame in it's current condition. I assume that means he already tried. He also states that some frame shops say that the frame can't be repaired and the frame rail must be replaced. Being aluminum quadruples the complexity of this. You are not going to fix this in your driveway.

That's just one of the broken parts NOT the bent frame rail. Just out of curiosity I did a search for a replacement NEW frame rail. The bare part can be found for about $1,200.00. Then you have to find someone qualified to swap it out either in part or whole. Then you have to source all the rest of the broken parts. Perhaps once you have a straight chassis to deal with you "might" be able to finish it up diy??? I still think the only way to come out of this on the plus side is to consider it a fun project with profit out of the equasion.

run away, run far away. I went to visit this same car in NY. pics do it no justice. the accident happened a long time ago, its been sitting for 6 months.
you can get a yellow high mileage z06 for 10-12k more than he's asking. and you'd have to put more in this car in order to get it running right, and it will never be straight and true again.
the car crashed so hard it crushed one of the longtubes, think about that for a second
