Thank you all.
I have a probably non-related question and cannot find anything in the manual.
I was given 2 square fobs that just say 'On' & "Off' with a red light indicator on a corner of each. I have no clue what these are for and have not tried the 'On' button yet. Any ideas?
Thanks again, drove yesterday and this car is powerful. A different kind of powerful than the Shelby Cobra.

Thanks. Will get pics when weather is better (rainy/drove thru mud) and car is cleaned up. Gotta update avatar.
Specifics: ZR3 Package, 17K miles, will have all new tires put on, they are ordered (OE). It's a ZR1, what else do ya wanna know?

Got to clean up the cars today and am amazed at how clean this car really is for being 5+ years old/17K miles. Engine bay? Spotless. Didn't have them change the oil yet, wanted to run it with the present oil. Oil is very clean, 30% oil life, so will have oil changed when new tires come in.
(Had them order new tires to replace present ones, no cost to me)
Awesome exhaust--opening those baffles does create a bit of drone, but that's inevitable.
Impressions: Powerful, extreme acceleration, can take the Z51 (A8) now light-to-light
(New pic in the avatar, but need more pics)

(Mobil 1 is a given though)
Great advice on the balancing of the tires. I will suggest it.
This is not a Chevrolet dealership, but have had mega good luck with this service dept. for years (Shelby Cobra/Ford dealership).
Thanks!

I've been using it for three of the last four+ yrs on mine...it gets really hot down here in Texas ! I like the "--40" part of the viscosity for that...
quite a few other LS9 (and LS7) owners on the CF also use it, based on info posted.

I hear ya and for your area I can see why you'd prefer that viscosity.
Good to hear what others are doing, thanks.
Thank you everyone for your good wishes, this car rocks.

the interesting fact about 0-40 oil is that it was the grade recommended by GM for the cars sold in Europ, so USA 5W30, Euro 0-40….all the same motors…if that doesn't raise an eye brow about why I don't know what would lol….hence I as well have been using 0-40 for street and road track driving

oh and by the way, the oil grade has to do with oil temps as well. If you are expecting hotter oil temps than "normal" then a higher viscosity would be required to keep the oil flow equal. For instance at 212* 5W30 has a rating of 11 cSt, while 0W40 is 13.5 cSt. 0W40 will reach 11 but it would be at a higher temp than 212*. 15W50 is 18cSt at 212, which mean you'd have to run some really hot temps to really "need it" (hence why the new C7Z06 manual state to use 15W50 when tracking it, I believe, because those cars are in the 280-300 oil temps - but with that 15W50 the flow would probably be close to a 5W30 at 212, which is what matters)
