Default Another What is it worth thread.

I am wondering what would a 2013 cyber gray zr1 with around 400 miles 3zr with chrome wheels option would go for?

I was looking at z06's recently and can gauge pricing on those but I came across a couple zr1s and was wondering on pricing. Thanks.

Edmunds has it at $86K--$91K (Houston). Given there may still be a year left on the 3/36 portion of the warranty
(plus the remaining power train portion), mid-80's seems about right to me.

But, the equation is subjective, i.e., is the car exactly what you want, in the condition you desire ?
That may affect what it's worth to you.

Thanks for the reply. I know it's subjective and I do like the car. I am not a huge fan of that two tone interior but it doesn't look as bad as others I have seen. I can get what I feel to be a good deal on the car. I just wanted to gauge pricing on the forums to get a feel for the market. I saw some pricing on the other years and wanted to confirm.

I am also a little worried about the value dropping as the c7s continue production.

I think the two tone interior looks pretty good in the cyber Greys cars. I wouldn't want it inside any other exterior corvette color though.

I wouldn't be too worried. Tons of guys started selling off ZR's before the C7Z was even sold. As a result the cars dipped slightly but since have leveled off. To build a C7Z with the same equipment as the ZR (Ceramic brakes etc) you are in $100K plus territory which helps keeps the values higher. Plus production numbers are very low on the ZRs

If you do some poking around in the C7Z form you will find a few owners that with they would have kept their ZR. The LS9 offers a powerband that is unlike anything else.

My opinion is that everyone on the forum tends to lowball a bit

It's worth what someone who wants it is willing to pay, if you find one you like in good condition that has what you want is it worth saving a few bucks to wait and hope you might find one cheaper? Can't put a price on fun

Don't mean to hijack your thread mike but what can one expect to pay for a zr1 with 15,000 miles on it? I know that it's subjective but after doing some research it seems like the ZO6 is also a great powerplant as well....any huge differences between the two besides the supercharger that I should be aware of before pulling the trigger on either?

Depends on the year, condition, mods, if it's 1ZR or 3ZR, etc.

As far as differences go, you're going to get a lot of unsolicited opinions with that question as well. There was a thread about that very thing a while back that was totally useless Best bet would be to do a bunch of internet searches and read up on both. Long story short, both are great

Correct, but that is still going to impact the price of the car. (I edited my post to give a bit more info). I would think realistically high $60s or low $70s in that scenario. People on the forum will probably tell you lower, but again, I think they tend to lowball everything.

What are you looking for in a car? Do you want a track weapon? A DD? A weekend toy? That information will help when deciding what best fits your needs.

The extremely low mile cars are going to get harder and harder to find. The one you refer to is practically brand new. If you can swing a good deal, jump on it. They are great cars and if you're planning on keeping it for a few years, you can't go wrong. Good luck.

You're going to be paying more for the lower miles though, and is that worth it to you?

mostly a weekend toy....long story short I used to have an 02 WS6 trans am under a car cover in the garage for about 10 years before I finally got rid of it.....I know their totally different cars but it did have an LS1...so i'm getting the itch to get back into something fast again that I can take out on the weekends for a fun drive....

I am not sure I guess it depends on how dependable they are when they get some miles on them....

What area do you live in? There are members everywhere that go to events that would be willing to talk to you in person

If you can manage to get a test drive in both that would be ideal.

Oh, and sorry to derail your thread a bit OP

I was following this thread because I was going to buy a ZR1

Well....I was approved BUT even though it was sold first in the US...it is in Canada and registered there the three banks I went to will not buy out of country cars....I do have an approval for $60K so I think I am going shopping for a C6 Z06 or GS.

If anyone is interested...you can get a 2009 ZR1 with 14,000 miles for $50K USD. The front bumper was damaged in the Showroom. They showed me before and after pictures in the showroom
