I think my combo is holding me back. Heads milled .040. We cant add anymore timing to the car. Too much cr. However it is now tuned safe (previous tune NOT done by 21st). No more kr. So thats great. I gained 10hp from 4500 up. I have neutral feelings about it.

if I had less compression and more timing it might be better

10hp over OEM. Argh. Will be interesting to see how other combos do.
Just to confirm, the OEM setup was run on the same dyno, same day?

OP said he was doing this vs a stock Mani.
10hp?? That doesn't sound right.... was it tuned or just dyno?

What is the CR with .040 milled?
What do a Black Mamba cam's numbers look like?

Default Question

Was this the same dyno as the 555 hp before or you using a different dyno this time?

Reminder I'll be installing MSD tomorrow and doing a comparrison to the Ported FAST. This will show where this intake manifold stands IMO...

So it sounds like the OP is saying it was tuned close to the edge before and now he has a safe tune and picked up 10whp. So just to speculate since dyno numbers don't mean anything. He could have picked up 20-30 rwhp if the previous tune was safe like the tune he got today. There's two many variables that aren't the same to compare the results.

Same shop and dyno as last dyno. Not the same shop as previous tune.

How does the drivability compare to your original intake? Did it add any surge or is it negligible?

I think with your setup u need t run e85 or race gas and retune it i can see u gaining 40hp from that. I'm getting my msd hopefully with the gt-20 cam and stock compression ratio hopefully the results are better...ill be heading to 21 century soon...

You need a bigger cam with more duration to bleed off some of that compression.
