Brake Pads
Well the brake pads are on the end of there life now and I am interested in new brake pads so I called for the GM OEM pads which are quite pricey are there any options?
What is everyone using and what do you recommend?
Also I am going to change the rotors as well? Stock or another kind?

Just changed mine to HAWK Ceramic low dust. Stop great and almost zero dust. Bought them from West Coast Corvettes. I kept the same rotors...they have low miles.

My factory drilled rotors developed cracks (I track it) so I went with DBA rotors, bought from marylandspeed.com forum vendor.

Check your current guide pin bolts to see if you can loosen them. If so this might be the correct time to replace them. After a while it does help the pads to slide better if old ones are replaced. I suspect that is why GM packages them into one kit. If you can't get the guide pin bolts out then you are stuck with them or buying a new caliper.

OP, I have two complete sets of OEM padlets with about 2k miles on each set. Don't have the pins Bill is talking about. Will sell both sets for $ 50 and you pay shipping..
These were removed due to "Dusting".

I buy a lot of things on Amazon, I got a smoking deal on a Magnaflow Cat Back for my 2013 Toyota Tundra, best online price for this was $ 842.00, if you refresh a bookmarked Amazon item every couple of days it will show prices from different suppliers depending on the item. After playing this game for a month I bought my exhaust system for $ 616.72 with free shipping

What are you using the car for, just street? If so, you have many options in pads and rotors. I firmly believe in the Carbotech 1521 pads in the 1 piece design for street applications. Yes, not the cheapest pad on the market but, performs very well on street with no issue. Quiet, Low dust and has pedal feel of stock while being a 100% non-corrosive will not harm your wheels or paint. On the flip side they are good too almost 900 degrees.

Carbotech™ Bobcat 1521™ The Carbotech Bobcat 1521™ is our high performance street compound that is our most successful compound. The Bobcat compound is known for its awesome release and modulation, along with unmatched rotor friendliness. Like our AX™ & XP™ line of compounds, Bobcat 1521™ is a Ceramic based friction material offering minimal rotor damage and non-corrosive dust. Bobcat 1521™ offers outstanding performance, even when cold, low dusting and low noise with an excellent initial bite. This compound’s virtually perfect linear torque production provides incredible braking force without ABS intervention. Bobcat 1521™ operating range starts out at ambient and goes up to 900°F. Bobcat 1521™ is suitable for ALL street cars, perfect for your tow vehicle, police cruiser. The Bobcat 1521™ compound has been found to last two-three times longer than OE pads you can purchase at a dealership or national retailer. That’s one of the beauties of Carbotech Ceramic brake compounds. Bobcat 1521™ is NOT recommended for any track use.

Stock rotors are cheap compared to some high end aftermarket and if the car is only being used on the street I would stick with those. The GM rotors can be had at a decent price. Pads Carbotech 1521 for street use.

Thank you very much everyone I use my car on the street only and just looking for something a little better than stock with little dust!
