For us that's no time at all. 4 hours per event of track time by a single driver and just 5 events per season then almost every season you would need a new motor. Makes sense to go with the RHS blocks.
This will be next for my Wife's car.

Cracked block leaking water. It was a small amount in the catch can and Jim caught it right away.

18-24 hours at 600+ hp.
At 505hp it's not an issue. GM is racing stock LS7 blocks in the Continental Series GS Camaro Z28s.

Sorry guys. It was a long trip home with the cops stopping me in Kentucky for side swiping a motor coach. They had me wait until the guy drove to us. All I had was a black mark on the RR of my trailer. When the guy finally showed up he had a tiny little scratch on his mirror! He then told the cops a truck beside him blew him into my trailer. It was such a small touch I never felt it. The coach driver called 911 and told the cops I side swiped him. Cops were great and after a delay all went on our way and the cops apologized.
The engine had about 22 track hours on it. I attend a lot of track events to give back to a sport that has given me so much. I don't take my car on track much. I am usually in others cars or providing information. I love wheel to wheel and do the HPDE to give back.
I noticed coolant going down and checked the ARE vent can. It had 2/3 oil and 1/3 coolant. Those situations don't get better. All gauges and temps were fine. It is smart to raise the hood after going on track and just take a quick look around. I still have a lot of very good parts from the old engine.
Thanks, Jason and Katech. One more fine job!

It's well worth the money sending your car there, I did it twice lol! Best bet is arrange to ship it up a few months before track attack, have them do the build and take the car to the event, fly in, meet a whole new group of really cool people and run your own car on AutoBahn then have the car shipped home afterwards! Makes for not only a great upgrade to your car but an awesome mini-vacation as well!
How are you, Ron. Going to Track Attack, I hope?

Wow that's and interesting note to be aware of. I think I should just buy a C7 Z06 after reading that.

Hey Jason, I presume there were at least a few cracked pistons as well?
Also was wondering about the change is connecting rod, is that done strictly for reliability purposes or is it more related to a length issue?
Have you seen many titanium rod failures as of now?
Cheers, Paul.

We have not yet failed a Ti rod to date. Our Track Attack packages have steel rods by default, but not due to any reliability issues.

Interesting to hear you guys are seeing sleeve failures at the power level you noted. I know that detonation is a killer, but continued high rpm use is somewhat of a surprise to me, even at the 650 flywheel hp range. What do you think is causing this to occur? Is there a particular problem cylinder, or area of the bore that is failing?
