Don't do it since it only looks appropriate on a classic car. It is also a bit of work to keep the letters white and one case of curb rash and you will be sorry.

I wonder if part of the issue is the narrow sidewalls on 19" & 20" tires - it's hard to make white letters look good. The 15s on a C3 leave a lot of real estate to decorate those balloon tires, and (as in the case of that beauty Camaro above) can look really good with them.

I work for continental and out of the 11 million tires we produce a yr in 1 factory almost all whitewalls are light truck tires. Natural rubber is white but with the edition or carbon black it makes the rubber stronger. In a tire with a big sidewall it still has plenty or black rubber to allow for the white....a low profile...not so much...

There are only 2 companies I think that make raised white letter tires, and they come in limited sizes as well. BF Goodrich being one. I had this issue when looking for period correct type tires for my 67 Camaro.
Regardless, I agree they go on 60's muscle cars..But to each his own.

That car is gorgeous.
You must be holding out on us. We never saw that car at the track.
Raised white lettering looks great on that era muscle car.
However, I prefer solid black on newer sports cars.
I do not have a good profile pic of white lettering but here is a vid showing them. I did not have a choice since both sides are lettered.

Hoosiers on the back (white lettered) and M&H skinnies on the front (at least M&H left the skinnies all black) is fine for racing. White is not something I'd do for the street.
