Default Downshift

How do you guys downshift when approaching a stoplight or decreasing in speed? My friend and I are curious because we don't want to wear out anything. I'm in the process of mastering rev matching..

any inputs would be much appreciated! Thanks!

I've got 102,000 miles with both solid clutch and good brakes.

You're not going to hurt it. Just do it as you would any manual car on the street.

You've already answered your question, give it a little blip and you're good to go.

^ I see.. Well prior to learning how to "rev match" I would leave it in gear and coast until I approach a stoplight and then just before I reach a low speed, I shift into neutral. But rev matching sounds so much better

I've always double clutched rev matching when I down shift. Have done this since I learned to drive.

When I have to brake later I heel toe (double clutch) downshift on street or track.
