Default THE MORE C7s I SEE, THE MORE I

Love my C6Z06! Granted, the C7Zs are not out yet. But in order for me to get the sound i want from a Hi-Per sports car, i would have to order a loaded C7Z and drop another 20plus k for the big cam sound that i need to be a healthy male. So, i figure what? 120plus? Yes/No? But then i would be missing the one thing that I bought the C6Z06 for. The big 427 motor! No blower! 7000plus RPM monster that will take care of most anything i will ever get involved with. And last but not least, the round fenders that wrap these machines is in my opinion as sexy a car as ever been put on asphalt. Certainly for the money, they are untouchable. Oh well, just tossing out some thoughts to see what comes back.

haven't quite warmed up to c7 yet. however the dsom c7z thats posted over in the c7z section sure has me thinking about buying one. however i think the same thing may happen with me that happened with zr1, just could not justify the car over my current z06 . c6z is american sports car at its best. big cubes, high compression, kinda raw in its own way. kept the corvette the animal it has been since its beginning. i generally think the latest is the greatest and for sure it will be true with c7z, just may not be great enough for my use to replace my c6z... time will tell .. great time to be a car guy for sure!!!

Default Totally!

Well said! I'm NEVER selling my C6Z. Love the body style. C7 is too busy. WAY TOO MANY ANGLES. That plus the horrible taillights and the C4 driver centric cockpit.

Thanks but no thanks GM. You can't improve on perfection. Well unless you... Wait for it... Wait for it... Put a 454ci ERL stroker in it! LOL

I like the c7z but I love my c6z. I love the color and I love the n/a 7.0 under the hood. I think the c6 is a clean looking car and the c7 look's a bit busy. I could keep my c6z and pick up a mid year for what a c7z would cost me. Ha see how easy I can rationalize buying a mid year?

Agreed....the lines of the C7Z just don't do it for me. And that back end is hideous...

I like the post. We have a 2013 ZO6. My small town dealer emailed me a couple of months ago and said his rep told him he would get an allocation later in model year and I could have it. I got all excited and worked on specs for a month. I am confident I could even buy it at a nice discount. However the more I think about it, look at the new ones and look at and drive ours I just can't do it. I just like the C6. I have a friend that has a C7Z ordered and I may later decide I can't live without one. As for now I have the C7 out of my system and am extremely happy with what we have. I even thought my wife would like the idea of an automatic. Her reply was you aren't getting rid of this one!

The C6 Z06 is really the best looking car! It is corvette all the way! The new C7's to me look like a Camaro! (same taillights too).

Thanks bro.... heads should be bolted on by now. I'm guessing they'll start the break-in miles next week before they start the dyno tune.

And don't forget the C7 is not a wide body. Four icnhes more narrow than the C6Z. That alone does it for me.

If I had the money I would be all over the C7Z. Just too many advantages over the C6Z to give them up if you can afford the price.

Nope, same here. They blew it.. They intentionally modified the lights and rear fascia to compensate for the additional width, moving them to the edge, which removed an opportunity for the bad-a$$ wide / flared fender look that our cars enjoy. It probably improved the top end areo 5%, but lets face it, so few of us are ever going to go over 160 mph in a street car, who cares..

Making the C7Z look more aggressive was the one opportunity for GM to fix the C7 styling disaster, and they failed.

Default C7 vs C&Z compare

See what I mean.... I just don't see the wideness of the C7Z over the base C7 like with the C6 and C6Z

I agree with that too. I am comparing in pics though. Maybe it will be more noticeable in person.
