3ZR is what ZR1 owners need to pay as an option to get what comes standard on every Lexus model and my Subaru Outback.
I can't imagine owning any vette or other car that did not have these items. Perhaps I am spoiled.

Some people buy a 1ZR because all they want to do is drive it on the track or want a ZR1 but the extra 10 grand isn't in the budget. They don't want to pay for all the extras and don't need them. The rest of us who don't track the car or maybe track it a couple of times a year want the creature comforts. GM was wise to offer the car this way. The standard pricing of the Lexus and Subaru that include these items has the items built into the price and you have to take them all if you want the car. I'd rather have a choice.

But, speaking for myself, and I am believe a majority of ZR1 owners, the 3ZR option is anything but an "option". It is a must have for me especially at the price point of a ZR1 compared to other sports cars it competes with in the market.

Your points are well taken and I completely agree with you. Choice is good.

Thanks y'all!
I just purchased a 2010 ZR1 3ZR from the estate of Andy Granatelli. It was the last car he bought, and only put 1751 miles on it.
Just needs an STP sticker, and plate frame that says "Godspeed Mr. 500"
It's not a collectable though. I'm going to use it as it was intended to be used. The next 1750 miles will not be kind to it's spit polished finish.
