It is just a placeholder site for future stuff. No content.

I just realized last night that the ULZ700 is a 2013 model, not 2008. There are only a few parts left on the car from 2008. Everything else is brand new. The engine built by Katech in 2013 has under 700 miles on it and two Track Attack events. The Carbon Ceramic brakes, installed in 2010 are still at 50% pad life! The only parts original are the doors, frame, fascia, and interior (except for the Carvaggios and D Wheel. Oh and the tranny and rear end.

Hi Jim, great comments on the car by Johnny O! Wish that I would have been at TA this year to see you and the car again. Did you feel the wing made a big improvement? Also still amazed by how light you got your car! I finally had mine on scales and came in at 2930 wet (oil & water) but without fuel.

One of the all time great Z06's. This car, Carlyle's (extreme, but still), and I'd have to really think on a third, but that would comprise probably my top three C6's of all time.

So complete.

Thanks Ron, we shed 15 more lbs, then put it back on with the wing, but yes, a substantial difference. I drove the car the whole event except for Johnny's laps.

Maybe next year?

Default Magazine Article

We will soon be the feature article in an upcoming magazine. Lots of pictures taken during the Katech TA event.

Should be on the book store shelves later this year.

One footnote. The Katech build this time, with the bronze guides, and all titanium/moly valves (Int and Exh.) is so quiet. It purrs. Valve gear noise is a thing of the past. We are also now using Pennzoil Ultra Synthetic Euro 5W40. 400 mile drive, and all the track days with many laps, and we never saw more than 201F water temps, 211F oil temps. Only 1/2 quart of oil used. e85 stations were everywhere, so fuel was no problem.

Default Jay Leno evaluates the Carbon Revolution Wheels

Brett Gass, co-founder of Carbon Revolution, and Jay Leno, at Willow Springs on CR-9s.

Halltech's ULZ700 has sported the only set of CR-9s ever mounted on a Corvette, but it won't be the last.
