Default weird idle

I just built a brand new fully built ls7 motor for my c6 zo6 started it yesterday. Been driving it around today and when i'm wait at street light my idle will go up to 2k by itself what could be causing this? As soon as I put the car in gear it goes back down to 1k to my normal idle ( katech 110 cam) i put wd40 on the throttle body to hopefully loosen it up but no help. ideas?

Back in the old days I'd say it had a vacuum leak some place but with all the high tech stuff on these cars now-a-days I wouldn't even begin to guess. Good luck, please let everyone know what you find out.

Have u clean ur throttle body lately ? .... If u have access to tech2 or hp tuner u can rest the throttle blade .... Or u need to drive it for a while ,... In the c5 there was a proc. to learn the idle , but don't think it work for the c6

I'd look at the tune/tuner. Mine did this the first week or so after I had mine built, and it was Tune related.

I'd also say tune. The cam has changed the airflow characteristics of the engine and the engine computer is confused or cannot automatically adjust enough to compensate.

AFAIK a cam change always requires a tune, unless perhaps it is a very mild cam (don't think a Torquer qualifies as very mild ).
