ding ding ding !

Given the valve guide issue with the LS7, you have to be wary of what hidden problem(s) might be in the new engines that won't be recognized for a while.

Let those with deeper pockets be the guinea pigs.

I'm with Rupert: let the kinks be identified, let the garage queens get some layers of wax on them and sit for a few years and a few thousand miles, let the price drop 20-30K, and then I'll jump. And next time, I'll hunt for a Z06 that already has the performance and cosmetic mods that I want, and let someone else get cents on the dollar before they move onto their next toy.

I would say it won't start over 100k, but options may push it up there and dealer markup will probably have it there for a bit besides the few good dealers that sell at MSRP.

Same as the c6z, I'll get one for 1/2 price in a few years if it is that good and available in an auto. I'm not doing another manual vette.

Well, you can get one now (almost) for under 50K. Buy a C6 Z and put a supercharger on it. More HP at half the price.

Base $91k....fully loaded $120k

I'm basing that off the pictures showing the car has carbon brakes...and that they will be standard on the car.

Dealer mark up $25,000

90s minimum with options comfortably over $100K. The C6 Z06 with the carbon ceramic brakes got up to $100K. And it has a supercharger (add $8-10K). Some of you are seriously smoking the wacky weed if you think this car will come in under $80K.
